Exploring sustainable forest management by the Coniston Water.

By 2030, the Lake District National Park envisions itself as an “inspirational example of sustainable development in action." Finding Forests research and visitor center establishes a connection between the Park’s 17 million annual visitors and a new sustainable and progressively developed research & production forest. The masterplan has long-term education and research in view with a time-based proposal for reforestation that also incorporates soft-edge planting with diverse tree and vegetative species to maximally balance economic benefits with social, cultural, and ecological benefits.
